Eligibility & What To Bring

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FREE TAX HELP?

  • Families earning up to $55,000 annually
  • Individuals earning up to $30,000 annually
  • Taxpayers that need to file an amended return (i.e. make corrections to a submitted return) or that need to file tax returns for previous years (2013-2015) are encouraged to visit a tax site in March

WHAT INFORMATION SHOULD I BRING TO A TAX SITE?

  • Social Security cards or Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) for yourself, your spouse, and everyone else that appears on your tax return
  • Photo identification
  • All 2016 tax documents (W-2, 1099 forms)
  • Bank account and routing numbers
  • Proof of health insurance coverage (i.e. Form 1095-A, 1095-B, 1095-C, Medicare card) or Certificate of Exemption
  • Copy of your second or final property tax bill paid in 2016
  • Records of college-related expenses
  • Copy of your 2015 tax return
